In addition to improving the environment that envelops you at Bienvenue Mon Ami Bed and Breakfast, our affiliates market through our B&B many of products you enjoy while staying here. Changing unique art works and continually available signature items can be purchased. Our signature emblemed products provide you a potential keepsake, as well as a means to remember us when you need to replenish our highly desirable consumables like Bienvenue Mon Ami luxurious soap products and fine chocolate candies. One very popular way for you to become an affiliate is to participate in our Guest Chef program.
When visiting Bienvenue Mon Ami, enjoy the original artwork and creativity of affiliates whose crafts are beautiful and unique. Sculpture Garden artwork includes permanent fixtures to Bienvenue Mon Ami such as the entrance gates and iron work (wedding bridge to grand live oak, pond trellis swing, gazebo, and more) by Austin Lanier, Amite artist/entrepreneur - Dirt Road Metal Works, the bronze statuary by renowned artist Giovanni Porratz of Las Vegas/San Francisco, and exquisite non-metal signage by "Signs and More" of Hammond. The Art Gallery and B&B include numerous tapestries and various minitures (eg a merry-go-round from Sacre Coure in Paris, France, Belguim/Netherland houses and specialty tea pots from Arundel Castle in England). Colorful murals and paintings by Rachel Rodriguez, an aspiring New Orleans artist, adorn the walls at Bienvenue Mon Ami. Other artwork includes pottery by Susan Hazey of Annapolis, Maryland and our room theme paintings by renowned local artists Theresa Beaubouef and Susan Shumate often hang next to each entry.
The original logo for Bienvenue Mon Ami was designed by Jennifer Heller, an architect of Reston, Virginia, and the facility architecture was designed by Pistorius and Associates of Hammond. Ronnie Perrin of RJP Contractors in Ponchatoula handled the Main Building contractor details, and our furniture was manufactured by central Ohio Amish artisans and retailed by Ashley Furniture. The property is nothing less than exquisite, and we invite you to experience how the carefully chosen pieces complement the landscape. Some of the artwork at Bienvenue Mon Ami is available for purchase. Our gallery artisans (typically 3) are changed on an approximate annual basis Typically, we feature specialty artists whose art forms are other than canvas works. For example, Gisela Niedenfuer often displays unique jewelry in our gift shop. Theresa Beaubouef retains our artist in residence title as her works are continually on display in our 3rd floor gallery area. Just ask us how you may take it back to your own home or office or how you can get in touch with the artists to commission their work.
Our Product Gallery shows many of the available items routinely available for purchase at our bed and breakfast. To purchase them, please visit our online gift shop or during your visit. If you desire one of our affiliate's products shown in the gallery, but cannot find it in our gift shop, please contact us directly for availability and cost.
